As the Compass continues to thrive and grow, we want to be sure we provide support for our many volunteers who contribute so much to the Compass. We also want to continue to improve the effectiveness of our Compass Market program. We are pleased to announce the following staffing changes in our organization effective March 1st 2013. Elaine McCarthy, formerly our General Manager, brings her experience to new responsibilities as Volunteer Manager. In this newly-created position, Elaine will be responsible for volunteer recruitment, the training of all volunteers, volunteer retention and volunteer recognition.
Trish Trapani, assumes responsibilities as our new Market Manager, overseeing Compass Market operations. Trish, who is new to the Compass, is a resident of south Mississauga. Her business experience of over 20 years has been managing major stores in the retail world and she brings to us highly developed operational skills. She is an active volunteer in the community in various organizations and capacities and comes with excellent references for her compassionate and strong leadership abilities.
