When three employees of Petro-Canada Lubricants (PCL) visited The Compass on December 3, we were expecting a small cheque. We were surprised with a cheque for $20,500!
We are always happy to see a group from PCL come to volunteer, and we were absolutely delighted to open the donation from their Community Connect program and find $20,500. To say we were shocked is an understatement. That PCL chose to donate to The Compass is so appreciated.
PCL previously donated $15,000 to The Compass, as part of their 75th anniversary last summer. The Compass is one of five local charities PCL has adopted, and we host a team of PCL’s staff to volunteer every few months. Other charities supported by PCL include Armagh House, Credit Valley Conservation, Ian Anderson House and Interim Place. Please visit their respective websites to learn more about the important work done by each of these charities.
