“In our current strategic plan, we identified the need to strengthen our staff leadership structure to manage the tremendous growth The Compass has experienced and to position the organization for long-term success,” said John Nyholt, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Since 2019, the number of clients we serve each week has tripled, our staff team has grown from 2 to 10, and our annual budget has expanded from $500,000 to $2.5 million.

Recognizing the increasing complexity of our operations and the importance of strong leadership, the Board of Directors unanimously approved the appointment of Trish Trapani as Executive Director.

Trish has been an exceptional leader throughout her 12 years with The Compass, demonstrating deep commitment to our mission and compassion for our clients. She has worked tirelessly alongside our dedicated staff and more than 400 active volunteers to serve the growing needs of individuals and families in our community.

In her new role, Trish will report directly to the Board of Directors, oversee all staff, and lead the execution of our mission and strategic priorities.
