Become a Food Bank Volunteer: Join Our Team

JOIN OUR CAUSE

Support, strengthen, and connect with your community.

"I love my time spent volunteering at The Compass. This year, with the increased cost of living and food, the need is so much greater. Walking through the building you see people picking up their groceries, but you also see the social atmosphere, the camaraderie, the delicious meals being served and you know that good things happen here."

WHY CHOOSE US

Our Volunteer Benefits

We have numerous volunteer opportunities for individuals aged 18 and older to get involved and be a part of our community-driven team.

Plus, with our flexible scheduling and wide range of volunteer roles, there’s something here for everyone.

Flexible Scheduling

Volunteer on Your Terms

Volunteers can choose shifts that fit their availability, making it easy to balance volunteering with other commitments. Even if you’re away for the summer or winter, there’s still a place for you when you return. Evening and weekend opportunities are currently full and we are onboarding for weekday availability between 8 am – 5 pm.

Flexible Shift Durations

We value your time and commitment. That’s why each volunteer shift averages only 3 hours, making it a manageable commitment for even the busiest individuals.

Wide Range of Volunteer Roles

Find a Role You're Passionate About

The Compass provides a variety of volunteer roles to match your interests and skills. Whether you prefer working directly with community in hospitality, or behind the scenes as a cook, packing food bank orders or sorter there’s a role for you. Even if you’ve never worked with a food bank before, we can help you find the perfect fit.
