Food bank use is becoming the norm for people who are squeezed by the high cost of rent or the inadequate amount of Ontario Works ($733) and Ontario Disability Benefit payments ($1362). Feed Ontario’s recent report highlights the prevalence and food bank use due to the constant increases in the cost of living.
